About the Event
This 90 minute mindful walking introduction will be held in Rouken Glen park on Sunday 8th September from 11.00am to 12.30pm.
You will learn what mindfulness really is, why it's important and the benefits it offers to enhance our day to day experience of feeling more focused, calm and energetic when integrated into our everyday lives. Â Experience how to settle a busy mind living life on autopilot to alleviate anxiety, stress and feelings of overwhelm. Learn how to create more peace, joy and contentment inside by applying quick techniques that transform the way you feel and the way you walk with a mindful walking experience around the glorious grounds of Rouken Glen park.
Mindful walking isn't your everyday walking where you take your active busy mind along for the ride. If you find it hard to switch off, slow down, sit still, rest, sleep or to meditate, learning to walk mindfully offers us an opportunity to come back to our true nature, deeper selves and pay attention to the richness and sensory experience of the present moment. Please wear suitable walking boots or shoes and bring a rain jacket to be prepared for all weathers on the day. You may also like to bring a small bottle of water.
N.B. Please note before booking this event that the grounds and inclines around the park can be steep in places and requires you to have balance and a degree of physical strength and fitness for the mindful walking expereince.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE
The whole session will help you to learn how to slow down, settle the mind and enjoy living in the aliveness and richness of the present moment alongside some insightful mindful walking in a beautiful local setting.
