Service Description

Mindfulness & Wellbeing Course for Carers This course has been fully funded by the Scottish Government for adult carer's and the programme runs every Tuesday evening at 8.00pm for eight consecutive weeks at The Wellbeing Centre in a supportive and safe environment within a small like-minded group. This Mindfulness Based Living Course offers a valuable combination of intellectual knowledge, experiential practice and practical skills that can be applied in the real world to help more effectively with stress and anxiety, depression, anger and panic states. We will explore the nature of the mind and have an opportunity to develop the capacity for mindful non-judgmental awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Scientific Studies show Mindfulness can help to: - Reduce stress, depression and anxiety - Regulate and be able to cope with feelings and emotions - Reduce chronic pain - Improve sleep - Strengthen the immune system - Improve clarity, focus and attention - Develop and enhance resilience - Increase wellbeing and happiness What Previous Course Members have said; "My anxiety has improved enormously. We operate a waiting list policy and this process allows us to offer your place to another member while we are operating in a Covid-19 reduced capacity.
