Kindness & Compassion at Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas

December 23, 2017

What an amazing and challenging month it has been during December to run Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas children's gift appeal for the 4th year, while managing the activities and services offered by Cultivating Mindfulness. Thankfully my own daily mindfulness practice has helped me to remain calm and prioritise work and decisions to achieve the various aims and goals.

Delighted to report that this year's appeal has provided Gifts Made With Love to over 9,000 local children suffering hardship. These children were referred by 54 charities and organisations in and around Glasgow that have partnered with Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas Facebook Community. What a great feeling it was for all of us to wake up on Christmas Day and know that the kindness and compassion generated by our kind-hearted GSOC community ensured that these children were included and given the gift of Christmas this year.

Please join our Facebook Group Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas if you would like to take part from 1st October 2018;
