About the Event
The Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) is an eight week secular course and includes an Introduction session and an optional Retreat Day of Practice. Each two hour weekly session includes al course manual and guided audio practices are provided during the course and for lifetime use after the course ends. The course will help you to develop a mindfulness practice of your own with the support of a group to increase awareness and live life with greater ease, calm, connection, wisdom and resilience.

Scientific research shows that Mindfulness is best learned within a supportive group setting over a minimum of eight weeks with two hour minimum sessions and a retreat day of practice.
The cost of this eight week mindfulness training is £165. As a registered charity who's aims are to make Mindfulness accessible to the whole community we offer a concessionary discount where cost is a barrier to participation. The course is facilitated by Julie Griffin, a practitioner of 15 years who adheres to the UK Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers.
A certificate is presented upon completion of this mindfulness meditation course.
The eight week MBLC curriculum consists of;
Introduction Session Week 1 - Starting where we are Week 2 - The Body as a Place to Stay Present Week 3 - Introducing Mindfulness Support Week 4 - Working with Distraction Week 5 - Exploring the Undercurrent Week 6 - Attitude of the Observer Week 7 - Self-acceptance Week 8 - A Mindfulness Based Life
The course is ideal for beginners or for experienced practitioners who have completed an Introduction Course wishing to deepen their understanding and personal practice.
