Our Children's Gift Campaign will officially open again on Tuesday 1st October 2024.
It will be Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas community's 10th year and 11th campaign of supporting local children affected by hardship or living in poverty.
We support communities all over Glasgow
and surrounding regions, including North
and South Lanarkshire, East and West Dunbartonshire, Dumbarton District, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, North, South and
East Ayrshire, Argyll & Bute and East Renfrewshire.
The sad reality is that 1 in 5 children in Scotland and 1 in 3 in Glasgow lives in poverty and that figure is set to rise over
the coming years with a massive increase forecasted this year in child poverty.
Glasgow's Spirit of Christmas donates Christmas gifts to children affected by hardship or living in poverty and launched
it's first campaign in Christmas 2014.
Since 2014 our kind community has supported 122,000 children through our partners with a Christmas gift bag full of relevant gifts at an approximate value of £4,541,000 million. These beautiful Gifts Made with Love filled with gifts and toys were donated to children living locally all over Glasgow and surrounding regions.
We want to make sure every child is included at Christmas and has a wonderful magical experience. You and your family can become a Secret Santa to a local child in need this festive season. No-one can imagine waking up as a child on Christmas Day to no presents.
WE ARE ON
With your support last year, inviting your family and friends, our Glasgow's Spirit
of Christmas Facebook community grew to 38,000 members.
In December 2023 we provided gifts
and cherished memories to over 19,511 referred children waking up to presents on Christmas Day. That was a pretty awesome feeling for all of us!

Each child and young person receives a Christmas 'Gift Made with Love' filled with age relevant gifts, toys and treats for a girl or boy of a certain age group.
The Christmas season provides a wonderful opportunity to teach our own children about giving to others and getting them involved in an active way in the spirit of giving at a time of year when Christmas can be the hardest and loneliness time for many children and individuals.
Every single gift donated as in previous years will be made by referral through our partnerships with over 100 charities, foodbanks and children's organisations.
This ensures that gifts donated will be placed directly into the hands of allocated and referred children who need them most and to make Christmas the special and magical day it should be for all children.
