TEACHERS & INSTRUCTORS
Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher , HeartMath Coach, Health Qigong Instructor in Training
Julie is a registered mindfulness meditation teacher with The British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA) delivering eight week gold-standard Mindfulness Based Courses, workshops and retreats for adults and young people.
Julie co-developed The University of Glasgow, Mindfulness: A Focus on Adolescents course and teaches mindfulness and compassion on our Young People's Wellbeing Programme to improve mental, emotional and physical health. She will be delivering the centre's Health Qigong courses later this year and is a certified HeartMath Facilitator and Coach.
Marina's classes consist of Cardio Pilates , Power Pilates , HIIT Pilates. Feelings of wellbeing are fundamental to the overall health of an individual, enabling them to overcome their daily issues as well as preparing for the future.
Nutrition and Health go hand in hand in achieving this. Pilates is a great form of exercise which helps strengthen the body and mind and my classes are a great form of achieving overall wellbeing for both mental and physical health.
Nikki is a 500hr Yoga Scotland teacher with a passion for nourishing both body and mind. She is fully qualified to teach the classical postures and practices of Hatha Yoga, with a deep understanding of eastern philosophies as well as expert knowledge of the anatomy and physiology. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist and having been trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Nikki helps individuals to balance their mind as well as body. By ensuring that her yoga classes are safe and accessible to all, she is able to share her love for this practice with all.
Essentrics® Movement Instructor
Mindful Eating Course Facilitator
Joanne is a seasoned professional Health and Wellness Coach, Mindful Eating course facilitator and Essentrics® movement instructor.
She is passionate about supporting people to flourish and thrive by optimising their physical, mental and emotional health & wellbeing.
Joanne will be offering regular Essentrics® classes and mindful eating courses. She will also offer coaching and contribute to wellbeing retreats and events throughout the year.
Lesley is a local massage therapist with a passion for holistic Eastern styles of massage and healing.
These therapies are dynamic yet deeply relaxing and have wide-ranging positive effects on body and
mind. Lesley brings a wonderful range of therapies to the Wellbeing Centre.
In addition to treating individuals, Lesley facilitates massage and relaxation workshops and is Senior
Teacher with Shiatsu & Thai Massage Training Scotland teaching FHT accredited courses.
Joan qualified as a Yoga Alliance 200 hour accredited teacher in 2018. Since qualifying she has gained experience in teaching various styles of yoga both in classes and on a 1-2-1 basis and completed a further 100 hours of Yoga Alliance approved study in Yin Yoga and Yoga Anatomy. Like many teachers she blends her knowledge and experience of all types of yoga to create different classes suitable for everyone.
She currently teaches flowing vinyasa classes building strength and flexibility as well as slower paced deep stretch and yin classes utilising long holds, deep stretches, and slow, thoughtful movement to release all the tension we tend to store in our muscles and connective tissues. Sequences/postures for all classes are researched and designed on a solid anatomical basis and are different every week. There’s always something new to try!
Jill has been a yoga practitioner for 25 years and a yoga teacher since 2019, drawn to share the transformative powers of yoga with others.
Jill explores how nature and the changing seasons can influence not only how we practice yoga but how we live our lives, inspiring us to live each moment more mindfully.
Jill offers Slow Flow classes for all abilities combining traditional hatha yoga postures with dynamic vinyasa flow to create movement, build strength and find balance. She also offers Yin classes using seated and prone yoga postures to target ligaments and fascia, strengthening and lengthening these connective tissues.
Aletia is a fully qualified yoga instructor and designs yoga classes for children, families, adults and the over 55’s.
She is passionate about her work and enjoys working with people of all ages who will benefit from a yoga practice to optimise a healthy mind and body.
She also tailors specific 1:1 classes for beginners and injury recoveries.
Aletia offers a seasonal yoga class and vinyasa yoga class.
Professional Organiser & Lifestyle Coach
Elaine works on the Scandinavian style principles of Hygge and Lagom - 'just the right amount' and appears on radio, tv and at the Ideal Homes Show sharing these life changing ways to help people organise their homes, office and lives. She also provides support groups and courses for people experiencing organising challenges such as decluttering and hoarding allowing a new physical and psychological spaciousness to come back into their lives for improved wellbeing.
Kids Yoga Instructor
Emma is an Ashtanga/Vinyasa flow yoga teacher certified by Yoga Alliance UK and is passionate about helping young adults to access the benefits of yoga to maintain a healthy mind and body. She is also qualified to teach yoga to children from ages 2-17 years.
Emma is also a qualified Aromatherapist, Reflexologist, and Massage therapist.
Person Centred Counsellor (Member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
Stephanie is a Person Centred Counsellor and has provided support and counselling to a variety of clients in the NHS, privately and within charities. Stephanie offers a space where clients feel heard, supported and fully accepted as they are.
Stephanie is also a qualified personal trainer specialising in mental health. Stephanie is passionate about the positive effect that physical activity has on mental, physical and emotional health and well being.
