About the Event

In these challenging times supporting young people's mental health is paramount. 2021 is a critical year to support and help young adults understand their own mind better and develop good mental health skills that will support them through these difficult times and beyond.

Our Mindfulness Course is a preventative approach that empowers young adults to develop a greater awareness and understanding of themselves and to apply these skills in everyday life to help maintain mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

Our charity offers young adults a valuable community resource in a supportive and safe environment for small peer group courses or one to one support sessions to learn more about the nature of their own mind and develop vital skills in mindful awareness of their own thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Never has it been so important as it is now for young people to be able to freely access training programmes to improve their own wellbeing and build resilience and confidence.

Our young adult's courses are funded by donations to enable us to offer these at no cost. They run for one hour every Monday evening at 6-7pm. The course provides support, simple and practical information and tools to improve self-awareness and to feel more empowered, confident, focused, calm and happier.

The course is planned to take place at The Wellbeing Centre, 31 Gavinton Street, Muirend, G44 3EF adhering to strict safety guidelines however may be delivered online if Tier 4 Restrictions continue into May.

Parents of under 18's will be invited to join a Course Introduction Session to learn more about the content of the course prior to the start date although this is not essential for young adults joining the course.
