About the Event

Mindfulness & Wellbeing Programme (12-15 years)

This mindfulness, compassion and wellbeing programme is designed for teenagers aged 12-15 years.  The course aims to enhance each young person's mental, emotional, physical health and wholeness to live a healthier, happier, more productive and meaningful life.

The programme runs for one hour every Thursday evening at 5.00-6.00pm for eight consecutive weeks from Thursday 25th April until 13th June at The Wellbeing Centre in a supportive and safe environment within a small and friendly group and ends the week before October half term.

This course is a preventative and early intervention approach that empowers young adults to develop a greater awareness and understanding of themselves, to develop good mental wellbeing skills and to apply these practical and helpful skills in everyday life.

This course offers a valuable educational experience to equip each young person with essential knowledge,  direct expereince and an understanding about the nature of the mind and it's relation and effect on the brain, autonomic nervous system,  emotions and body. The course will aim to develop the capacity for mindful non-judgmental awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Never has it been so important as it is now for young people to be able to freely access training programmes to increase self-awareness, self-esteem and confidence to improve resilience and manage their own wellbeing.

This course has been kindly fully funded by the National Lottery making it accessible to all young people within the community.
