About the Event
Mindful walking isn't your everyday walking where you take your active busy mind along for the ride. If you find it hard to switch off, slow down, sit still, rest, sleep or to meditate, learning to walk mindfully offers us an opportunity to come back to our true nature, deeper selves and pay attention to the richness and sensory experience of the present moment.
Learn the art of Mindful Walking, a new way to walk and a wonderful opportunity to practice mindful walking meditation in the beautiful and glorious woodlands around Rouken Glen Park. Experience how to settle and train a busy mind to live more in the present moment instead of living life on autopilot. Learn how to create more calm, peace, joy and contentment inside by doing something you do everyday without thinking.
This 90 minute guided session will provide a short introduction and instruction to enjoy being more present as you walk and notice the world around you and within you in an allowing and non-judgmental way. Â Please wear suitable walking boots or shoes and bring a rain jacket to be prepared for all weathers on the day. Â
The whole session will help you to learn how to slow down, settle the mind and enjoy living in the aliveness and richness of the present moment alongside some mindful walking in a beautiful local setting.
Your guide for this session is Julie Griffin, Mindfulness Teacher, learn moreÂ
