I Got a Hot Stone Massage — Here’s What I Thought


I recently went to the Wellbeing Centre for a massage with Jurgita because I had a lot of tension and stiffness. Upon my arrival, relaxing music played in the background, and the room’s warm and dimmed ambience was inviting, making me feel like I was in a luxurious spa, somewhere exotic.


Jurgita’s welcoming and kind presence put me at ease as she talked me through what to expect from the 60-minute hot stone massage—I couldn’t wait for it to begin. One of the many reasons I was looking forward to the massage was due to the tension and stress I regularly feel around my neck and shoulders.


As soon as Jurgita began to glide her hands over my shoulders and back muscles rhythmically, I instantly felt the tension melt away. She expertly targeted any knots I had, even the ones I didn’t realise I was holding on to. Her technique was the perfect balance, strong enough to dig into my muscles and tissue, loosening and relaxing them, but gentle enough that there was no pain or discomfort, unlike other massages I’ve had before.


She placed warm, natural, purifying Himalayan salt stones on my back one by one. It was lovely to feel this relaxed and warm in the middle of a Scottish winter. It was as cosy as drinking your favourite cuppa by a toasty fire. She began to use the stones to massage in specific soothing motions over my back and arms. Dissipating any tightness from my clenched muscles, I felt a deep relaxation for the first time in a long time.


After relieving tension and stress from the back of my upper and lower body, Jurgita gently turned me over to massage the front of my arms and torso, then skillfully released soreness from my legs, enlivening my tired, aching feet. Feeling the improved circulation in my entire body, I knew this slice of heaven would eventually come to an end, but until then, I was going to relish every second of this massage.


Once the 60 minutes were up, it felt like waking up from a beautiful dream. The massage was excellent, from the ambience to the expert, tranquil touch of Jurgita. All of my problem areas were soothed one by one, transporting me to a serene, calm place within. I cannot recommend Jurgita and her wonderful massages enough!

Massages usually last around 60 minutes, unless otherwise specified. Jurgita uses organic, natural ingredients that are locally-made ensuring you receive great quality ingredients for quality results.


We offer 13 different types of massages at the Wellbeing Centre, each one catering to different needs. Choose between 3 main groupings: Classic, Therapeutic, and Reflexology and Lymphatic.


Classic Massages

The Classic Massages offered here give you a variety of options, from targeting specific areas of the body such as the Back, Neck, and Shoulders, or Face, to targeting the whole body from head to toe. Choose between different modalities like Hot Stones, Warm Bamboo, or a classic Deep Tissue, or opt for a longer treat like the Signature Green Nettle Massage.

As far as therapeutic massages, we offer the Ayurvedic and Pregnancy massages, targeting the body on a whole new level. The Ayurvedic Massage is more than just a massage—it's a holistic experience that draws on ancient Indian wisdom to bring your body and mind back into balance.


And for our expectant mothers, the Pregnancy Massage helps to ease common discomforts like backaches and swelling, while promoting relaxation and emotional balance.


Notice: It is important that you consult your physician beforehand to help to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. We offer pregnancy massages only from the second trimester onwards.

Reflexology & Lymphatic Massages

Choose between two types of expert massages that will help improve your wellbeing on a deeper level. Advanced Reflexology Massage offers a holistic approach based on the principle that these reflex points correspond to various organs and systems throughout the body and stimulating them can induce beneficial effects. Whereas Lymphatic Drainage Massages use light pressure and specific movements to encourage the flow of lymph fluid, reducing swelling and promoting detoxification.
